Concussion Training Certification NEW PROCESS 2024 |
(Required of all volunteers and must be renewed every 3 years)
Concussion Training certification is now being handled through Special Olympics SO Learn. Please use this link (Special Olympics Online Learning Portal). If you don't already have an account on SO Learn, please create one and select the "sport" learning area. Search for the "Heads Up Coaches Concussions in Youth Sports" course (can just sort fof "concussion" and the course will come up) and complete it.
(Note: If SO Learn says that you have already completed the "Protective Behaviors" course, yet it has been more than three years, please click the "recertify" button and it will allow you to retake the course.) |

Protective Behaviors Certification NEW PROCESS 2024 |

Protective Behaviors certification is now being handled through Special Olympics SO Learn. Please use this link (Special Olympics Online Learning Portal). If you don't already have an account on SO Learn, please create one and select the "sport" learning area. Search for the "Protective Behaviors" course and complete it. (Note: If SO Learn says that you have already completed the "Protective Behaviors" course, yet it has been more than three years, please click the "recertify" button and it will allow you to retake the course.)
The SO Learn system should send SOMD a notice that this course has been completed, but you should also download the available certificate and send it to the appropriate person in your Area, so they also know you have completed this requirement. |
