Athlete Input Council – SOMD - SMC
Athletes have the opportunity to share ideas and opinions with other athletes at both the state and local level. Input Councils give athletes a chance to discuss important issues with other athletes, provide a format for athletes on committees to gather input on varying topics, and allow athletes to share information from their committees. Currently Bailey Mewhinney (mewhinney@md.metrocast.net) is the St. Mary’s County Representative at the SOMD AIC. The purpose for the local AIC is to understand what our athletes like or dislike about our programs, what we can do to improve them and help make your dreams come true. Bailey holds four local AIC meetings a year.

Following his meetings, Bailey then attends the SOMD AIC meetings to bring St. Mary’s County issues to the state level for discussion or action. Visit “Athlete Input Council” section in the “Resources” tab to see any meeting minutes or summary of discussions.
